AGP leader murder case: Police recreate crime scene in Bongaigaon

Police today, September 12, recreated the crime scene of the brutal murder of AGP leader Muzzafar Hussain in Abhayapuri, Bongaigaon district, in the presence of the Executive Magistrate and senior police officials.

Hussain’s body was found on September 6 under a culvert at Narikola in Abhayapuri. According to the investigation, three assailants were involved in the killing. 

Two of them had brought Muzzafar on a bike, making him sit between them, to the crime spot. At the culvert, one tied a rope around his neck while the other dragged him under the bridge. The third assailant later arrived on another bike and repeatedly struck Hussain with a sharp weapon, killing him on the spot.

The trio then dumped his body in nearby bushes before fleeing the scene.

Police have already arrested four people, including a woman, in connection with the case. However, the motive behind the murder has not yet been disclosed as the investigation continues.
