In a significant step towards rural housing development, BTC Executive Member Pramod Boro formally distributed approval letters to 11,583 beneficiaries under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana - Gramin (PMAY-G) at an event held in the premises of the Kokrajhar Sub-Divisional Development Office in Titaguri, Kokrajhar
The event organized by the Panchayat and Rural Development Department of the state government, was attended by Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma, who virtually inaugurated the PMAY-G housing scheme across the state.
This initiative aims to provide permanent housing to rural families, ensuring better living conditions for economically weaker sections.

Simultaneously, Pramod Boro also inaugurated the scheme in the Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR), reinforcing the commitment of the BTC administration to improving rural infrastructure.
The event was graced by BTC Executive Members Arup Kumar Dey, Nilut Swargiary along with several departmental officials. Speaking at the occasion officials highlighted the importance of the scheme in achieving the goal of "Housing for All" and ensuring a better quality of life for the rural population.
The Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana - Gramin is a flagship scheme of the Government of India aimed at providing pucca houses with basic amenities to rural families living in kutcha or dilapidated houses. With today's approvals thousands of families in Assam and the BTR region are set to benefit from the scheme marking another step forward in the state’s rural development efforts.
