14 youths from Sadiya, Assam, have been stranded on a river island in Arunachal Pradesh due to rising water levels.
The incident took place in Bomjir, a location in Arunachal, where the youths have been trapped on an island in a mountain river.

However, due to continuous heavy rainfall in the region for the past few days, the water level of the river has surged, submerging parts of the island and posing a serious threat to their safety.
Despite informing the company authorities about the situation, no rescue measures have yet been initiated by the company or the local district administration in Arunachal Pradesh, according to the youths.
With the water level continuing to rise, the situation has left the stranded workers and their families extremely anxious.
The youths have now appealed to the administration for urgent rescue and assistance before the situation worsens.
