23-year-old Rituraj Sharma from Dhubri, Assam, has achieved a significant milestone by securing the 462nd position in the prestigious Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) examination. What sets Rituraj's achievement apart is his remarkable journey of success, having cleared the UPSC in his very first attempt without any formal coaching.

Hailing from Dhubri, Assam, Rituraj's educational journey has been marked by diligence and perseverance. He completed his high school education at Happy Convent School, Dhubri, before pursuing his higher secondary studies at Don Bosco School, Panbazar, Guwahati. Graduating from Delhi University, Rituraj's academic endeavors were bolstered by the unwavering support of his mother, Jenita Devi, who tirelessly worked to provide him with the best educational opportunities.

Rituraj's father, Late Bhupendra Nath Sharma, passed away when he was just in the 5th grade. Despite this loss, Rituraj's resolve to excel remained unshaken, fueled by his father's dream for him to become an IAS officer. Drawing inspiration from his father's aspirations and the encouragement of his mother and friends, Rituraj embarked on his UPSC journey with grit and determination.

Beyond academics, Rituraj also showcased his talent in sports, representing Dhubri in the District cricket team and contributing to the cheerful atmosphere of his hometown.
