BJP State President Dilip Saikia has taken a sharp jab at the Congress party, alleging that a "money-for-ticket" culture is currently prevailing within its ranks.
Speaking at an election campaign meeting in support of the BJP’s Zila Parishad and Panchayat candidates in Bajali district, Saikia contrasted Congress’s internal issues with the BJP’s all-out election preparedness.
“For us, every election is a final — there are no quarterfinals or semifinals,” said Saikia, asserting that the BJP has deployed its full strength both for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections and the approaching Panchayat polls.
Highlighting the BJP’s continuous grassroots engagement, he said, “Our party aims to maintain 24x7 contact with the people. We are contesting the Panchayat elections with the sole intention of serving the public.”

On the Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) politics, Saikia made a significant remark by saying both the United People's Party Liberal (UPPL) and Bodoland People’s Front (BPF) are in alliance with the BJP. He stated, “These alliances are not just electoral arrangements; they are functional during the administration as well.”
When questioned about the controversy surrounding Congress MP Gaurav Gogoi, Saikia refrained from making any definitive statement, saying, “I will only speak after the SIT (Special Investigation Team) report is submitted.”
Today’s campaign event in Bajali saw support for three BJP candidates representing the constituencies of Central Bajali, South Bajali, and Southwest Bajali. Assam Minister Ranjeet Kumar Dass and several other senior BJP leaders were also present on the stage.
As election fervour rises, the BJP’s aggressive campaign pitch and strategic alliances indicate the party’s intent to secure a sweeping victory in both grassroots and parliamentary contests.
