Assam: BJP stages massive protest against Congress in Dhubri, burns effigy of Rahul Gandhi

The Assam unit of the BJP party held a massive protest rally in the middle of Dhubri town.  The protest is solemnised by burning the effigies of Ex-MP Dheeraj Sahu and Rahul Gandhi.

The purpose of the demonstration was to denounce the corruption that Congress ex-MP Dheeraj Sahu engaged in, which resulted in the recovery of a sizable sum of money during an Income Tax raid on December 8.

Slogan raised during the rally by the ruling BJP party Rahul Gandhi, Sonia Gandhi (chor hai) is a thief, who looted the whole country for the last 70 years and demanded a proper inquiry.

On the otherhand, the Kokrajhar district BJP committee also held a protest on the premises of the Kokrajhar district BJP office against the corruption of the Congress party and the alliance.

District BJP functionaries including BTR Council Swajal Singh and Rajiv Brahma participated in the programme.
