Assam: Body of missing class 9 student found in Brahmaputra river

On Thursday, the lifeless body of a class 9 student was recovered from the waters of the Brahmaputra River. The deceased, identified as Inzamul Haque, was a student at Shankar Madhav School located in Noonmati.

Sources close to the incident disclosed that Inzamul had gone for a bath with his friends in the river at Soonchali area on Tuesday, shortly after receiving the results of their final examinations. However, tragedy struck when Inzamul went missing in the strong current, leaving his friends deeply distraught.

Over the course of two days, the minor boy's parents tirelessly searched for him along the riverbanks. Their efforts were met with heartbreak as they stumbled upon Inzamul's clothes abandoned on the river banks.

Upon making this distressing discovery, the family promptly notified the State Disaster Relief Fund (SDRF) prompting an extensive search operation to locate Inzamul. After a prolonged search effort authorities succeeded in recovering the lifeless body of the young student from the depths of the river.
