Assam: Body of missing man found from Manash river in Bongaigaon, murder suspected

In a distressing turn of events, the body of a missing man was discovered in the Manash River located in Bongaigaon, Assam. Identified as Faluhar Ali, the deceased was the son of Deotari resident Jankeshwar Ali.

Locals suspect that the deceased, Faluhar Ali, was killed and thrown into the river after he had clear signs of injuries on his head and neck.  Faluhar Ali had been reported missing the day before, intensifying apprehensions regarding his whereabouts.

Despite extensive search efforts across various areas, Faluhar Ali remained untraceable until his clothes were found along the banks of the Manash River. Subsequently, authorities from the Manikpur police station were alerted, leading to their prompt intervention. The police swiftly organized a post-mortem examination of the body and initiated an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Family members disclosed that Faluhar Ali had left home with a sum of fifteen thousand rupees. However, upon the recovery of his body, not a single rupee was found in his pockets, prompting speculation among some individuals that Faluhar Ali may have been the victim of a robbery.
