Assam: Bongaigaon DC accused of assaulting staff member over absence

Allegations have surfaced against the District Commissioner of Bongaigaon, Navadeep Pathak, following an incident involving the assault of a temporary staff member at the office of the Revenue Circle Officer in Dangtal.

According to reports, Monwar Ahmed, a temporary staff member working as a fourth-grade employee in the office, was allegedly assaulted by the District Commissioner in the office premises. The attack occurred due to the staff member’s reported absence from work. The incident was reportedly carried out in the presence of police personnel.

Following the assault, Monwar Ahmed was taken to Vidyapur Hospital with police assistance for medical treatment.
