Assam: BPF chief Hagrama Mohilary takes a dig at UPPL leader Chandan Brahma, says "he is a rejected leader"

Bodoland People's Front (BPF) chief Hagrama Mohilary took a dig at UPPL leader Chandan Brahma and said that Brahma is a rejected leader who was expelled from the party 3 years ago.

Hagrama Mohilary expressed his views during an event in Basugawat, Chirang district, particularly addressing the issue of Chandan Brahma's affiliation with the UPPL.

Mohilary bluntly remarked on Brahma's status within the party, stating, "Don't inquire about the minister; he is a rejected piece. We expelled him from the party three years ago."

Furthermore, Mohilary took a jab at both the NDA and the UPPL candidate Jayant Basumatary regarding the nomination filing process in Kokrajhar on April 18. He commented on the considerable turnout of supporters during Basumatary's filing, insinuating potential financial backing, "They can gather one lakh people during nomination filing. They have financial resources. So, why just 60,000?"

Mohilary contrasted this with his party's approach, stating their intention to file nominations on the following day, April 19, with a smaller accompanying crowd of five to six thousand individuals.

He raised doubts about Basumatary's potential to secure a substantial number of votes, questioning whether he could manage to acquire two lakh votes.
