Assam: Cachar DC office roof collapses partially due to heavy rain

In Cachar, the Deputy Commissioner's office has been damaged after heavy storms lashed through the district on May 28. 

The roof of the Conference hall was blown off in the storm. 

The hall has been flooded and properties in the building have been damaged.

As per reports, in 2022 a new state-of-the-art conference hall was built on the second floor of the Silchar district commissioner's office. 

The state-of-the-art conference hall was built for a cabinet meeting held in Silchar in November 2022. 

Just a year later, heavy rains brought to light the state-of-the-art of the district commissioner's office.
