Assam: Circle office turns into liquor den, alcohol bottles recovered during raid in Cachar

In a shocking incident, the office of the Circle Officer of Katigorah in Cachar, Assam turned into a liquor den on the night of November 13 after the night guard and few of his friends along with an employee of Katigorah Sub Registrar Office sat for a liquor party in one of the quarters of the Circle Office.

A raid was conducted at the office premises after the Circle Officer Robert Tol received information of a liquor party going on in the office premises.

The liquor party was allegedly organised by the Circle Office night gaurds Rajendra Singh and Zaidul Hussain. Around 10-12 people were also part of the night party, including Zaidul Hussain, Rajendra Singh and an employee of Katigorah Sub Registrar office. 

Circle Officer Robert Tol entered the office premises through a dfferent route after finding the main gate locked. The officer then made a dramatic entry inside the room where the liquor party was going on. The office after entering the room few men including the night gaurds enjoying a liquor party accompanied with duck meat.

Furious on seeing the men engaging in liqour party inside a government office, the officer yelled at the employees and informed that they will punished for misusing government office premises for liquor party.

Circle Officer Robert Tol said that a report on the whole issue will be submitted to the District Collector soon. The officer further added that no one involved in the incident will be spared, strict action will be taken legally against everyone.
