Assam: College student killed by lightning strike in Sribhumi

In a tragic incident, a college student lost her life after being struck by lightning in Hasanpur, Sribhumi district, Assam.

 The deceased has been identified as Zahida Begum, a student of KNBW College. 

According to local reports, the incident occurred while she was en route to attend classes at Khairun Nessa Begum Women's College (KNBW) in the Srigauri area. 

The sudden lightning strike led to her untimely demise, leaving the community in shock.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued weather alerts for several regions in Assam, forecasting thunderstorms accompanied by heavy rainfall and gusty winds. 

Residents are advised to exercise caution and stay updated with the latest weather information.
