Assam: Congress leader Pradyut Bordoloi labels minister Pijush Hazarika as 'mastermind of syndicate'

Congress leader Pradyut Bordoloi on April 21 directly challenged BJP leader Piyush Hazarika and AIUDF leader Badruddin Ajmal during an election rally in Nagaon.

Speaking to the media at the poll rally, Bordoloi targeted state minister Pijush Hazarika for making baseless allegations against Congress leaders and added that Hazarika is the 'mastermind of all syndicate' running in the state. 

"I am a secular person. Whenever I visit a Naamghar, I bow my head. Whenever I visit any temple, Church or Mosque, I sincerely bow my head. I am not a communal person like Badruddin Ajmal. that's our party policy. We are fighting against two parties, that is Badruddin Ajmal's AIUDF and BJP. Now if you see, he is visiting char areas for election campaign on a helicopter. Whose helicopter is he moving around or who booked that helicopter for Ajmal? I would like to ask him to give the proof that the helicopter has been booked under AIUDF's name. I had raised objection to this earlier. Now you can see how Ajmal keeps saluting by saying 'Ji Huzoor, Ji Huzoor' to Himanta Biswa Sarma every no and then. He is trying to add fuel by making communal statements and provoking the people of the community. With time, he will surely face a defeat", said Pradyu Bordoloi. 

Bordoloi demanded that Piyush Hazarika disclose any communication he has received from leaders expressing interest in joining the BJP. 

Furthermore, Bordoloi criticized Ajmal's recent activities, alleging that he is actively promoting a helicopter booked by Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma. Bordoloi hinted at possessing information regarding this matter.

In a direct challenge to Ajmal, Bordoloi urged him to reveal any booking information associated with his name. Additionally, Bordoloi retaliated against the AIUDF's accusation of him being a Hindutva leader, asserting his identity as a secular leader.

The Congress candidate also condemned the AIUDF, labeling them as communal in their approach to politics.
