Assam: Dilapidated Ledo road causes distress for residents and commuters

Residents of Ledo Hamukjaan village in the 83rd Margherita Legislative Assembly Constituency are facing severe hardships due to a badly damaged Public Works Department road connecting the village to National Highway 315.

The road, which serves hundreds of daily commuters including students and teachers, has remained in a deplorable condition for years, riddled with potholes resembling ponds. Even light rainfall causes water to accumulate, making travel difficult and unsafe.

Local residents have expressed frustration and anger over the prolonged neglect by the Public Works Department, urging authorities to take immediate action to repair the road and ensure safe passage for the community.
