Assam: Father-son duo found dead mysteriously in Jogighopa
In a tragic incident on the night of Janmashtami, a father-son duo from Kumarkata village in Bongaigaon district drowned under mysterious circumstances while fishing at Doloni Beel in Jogighopa.
The victims, identified as 45-year-old Puren Chandra Das and his 21-year-old son Ankur Das, had ventured to the beel late in the evening for a night of fishing. When they failed to return home, their worried family members waited anxiously throughout the night.

At daybreak, concerned locals initiated a search operation at the beel, where they made a grim discovery. The lifeless bodies of Puren Chandra and Ankur were found floating in the water, sending shockwaves through the community.
The recovery of both bodies together has raised questions about the circumstances of their deaths, casting a pall of mystery over the incident. Adding to the intrigue, a night watchman patrolling the beel found torchlights and fishing gear abandoned on the banks, further deepening the sense of unease.
Jogighopa police arrived at the scene and retrieved the bodies, launching an investigation to determine the cause of this tragic event.
