Speaking at the event, CEM Pramod Boro emphasized the government’s commitment to sustaining peace and fostering development in Bodoland. He highlighted the importance of empowering former insurgents through financial aid and livelihood opportunities as part of the ongoing peacebuilding efforts.

The BTR Peace Accord, signed in January 2020, marked a historic milestone in Assam’s efforts to resolve longstanding conflicts. Under the agreement, NDFB factions laid down arms, and the government pledged to support the cadres’ transition to civilian life through various welfare measures, including skill development and financial assistance.

The beneficiaries expressed their gratitude for the government’s continued support, stating that the aid would help them rebuild their lives and contribute to the region’s progress.

This initiative reinforces the Assam Government’s dedication to upholding peace, stability, and inclusive growth in the Bodoland Territorial Region.
