In a distressing turn of events, an inmate identified as Raju Nath was found deceased in the lockup of Jakhlabandha police station, allegedly a victim of suicide. The incident, which unfolded in the small town of Kaliabor, has sent shockwaves through the community.

Nath, who had been apprehended on Friday on charges of murdering a truck driver and hijacking his vehicle, was reportedly found lifeless in his cell. The truck, a cement-laden vehicle bearing the registration number NL 01 AA 6213, was en route from Meghalaya to Samaguri when the alleged crime occurred.

Furthermore, Nath was implicated in another heinous crime, involving a murder in a residence located in Guwahati's Pandu area. Reports suggest that Nath had confessed to these crimes during police interrogation, adding to the gravity of the situation.
