Assam legislators and celebrities unite for friendly football match on Christmas Eve

On the festive occasion of Christmas Eve, December 24, a sense of camaraderie and celebration filled the air in Bokajan, located in Assam's Karbi Anglong district. 

A friendly football match was organized, bringing together legislators from the Assam Assembly and some of the state's most prominent celebrities. 

This event was not just a display of sportsmanship but also a symbol of unity and community spirit.

The match took place at the Hanjanglangso Sports Association field, thanks to the efforts of Numal Momin, the Deputy Speaker of the Assam Assembly and local MLA of the Bokajan assembly constituency. 

The Electronic Media Association collaborated with him to make this event possible.

The teams were composed of notable figures, with the Legislator 7 team featuring Mrinal Saikia, Sibu Mishra, Prithiraj Rava, Shiladitya Dev, Surjya Rongphar, and Rilipson Ronghang. They faced off against the Celebrity 7 team, which included the likes of former Mr Universe Mahadev Deka and Kushal Changmai.

Thousands of spectators gathered to witness this friendly clash, adding to the Christmas cheer. The match was more than just a game; it was a reflection of the joy and goodwill that characterizes the holiday season.
