Assam: Man arrested for raping minor niece, confesses to crime on camera

In a horrific incident, a 17 year old minor girl who has been raped for a long time by her own 60-year-old uncle in  East Bakua, Simla, of Baksa, Assam. 

The incident has sent shock waves in the region after reports surfaced that the minor girl has been a victim of her accused uncle’s sexual abuses for a long time and is now 6 months pregnant. The victim remained shut with fear and threat by the accused uncle. 

However, finally the real mystery of the whole incident was revealed when the victim’s mother started speculating about the circumstances related to her daughter. Based on a First Information of Report (FIR) lodged by the minor girl's family, Simla police arrested the accused uncle, under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO Act).

The accused has been identified as Laxmikant Das. The Simla police arrested him from Badulipara in Baksar area.

The accused is taken into custody by Shimla police and the interrogation has already begun. However, the accused, Laxmikant Das, confessed this entire incident to the media by himself.
