Assam: Man kills bakery workers after heated argument in Nagaon, arrested

A late-night dispute at a bakery in Nagaon's 2 No. Molapatti area turned fatal on Saturday, November 16 when a worker allegedly bludgeoned two colleagues to death.

The incident involved three employees of the bakery: Uttam Das, Abhijit Saha, and the accused, Indrajit Pal. Sources indicate that an argument escalated among them, leading to Indrajit using a rolling pin. Abhijit Saha, who hailed from Garajan, Rupahi, had been employed for about a year, while Uttam Das, a long-time worker from Chapnala, Nagaon, had dedicated 15 years to Gauri Bakery.

During initial police questioning, Indrajit admitted to the assault. Authorities discovered him sitting near the bodies until morning, when he was detained at the scene. Superintendent of Police and other officials promptly arrived to evaluate the situation.

The bodies were subsequently recovered and sent for post-mortem examination as the investigation commenced.
