Assam: Massive blaze ravages homes, cowsheds in Bijni, several cattle injured

A devastating fire engulfed parts of Jharbishpani village in Bijni, Chirang district on Sunday, January 12 leaving two households in ruins.


As per preliminary reports, the blaze broke out at the residences of Akhil Sarkar and Sushil Sarkar, causing extensive damage to their kitchens and cattle sheds.


While the fire brigade and local police promptly responded to the incident and brought the flames under control, the fire inflicted significant losses. Several cattle housed in the sheds were injured, although no human casualties were reported.


The cause of the fire remains under investigation. Authorities are assessing the damage and gathering information to determine the source of the incident.
