The newly formed militant group Greater Cooch Behar Liberation Organisation (GCLO) has threatened to launch an armed movement against the government if their demand for a separate Kamtapur state is not fulfilled.
One suspected cadre of the armed militant group GCLO, via a video message urged the people to shun the democratic movement and instead launch an armed movement against the government with regards to the demand for a separate Kamtapur state.
The GCLO cadre identified as Raju Coch even threatened serial bomb blasts in his video message, stating that India might be a democratic country, but democratic movement holds no meaning nowadays.
The emergence of the new outfit GCLO came amidst the peace talks between Kamtapur Liberation Organisation (KLO), which was demanding a separate Kamtapur state for two decades, and the central government.
