Assam: Narrow escape for 40 passengers after fire breaks out in night service bus heading to Guwahati

A horrifying ordeal unfolded on March 27 after fire broke out in the Ratnagiri Super passenger bus while it was en route from Golaghat to Guwahati during night time. 

The incident occurred on the Nagaon bypass and started with an unusual noise followed by the ignition of two rear wheels.

The sudden fire caused panic among the passengers, leading them to hastily evacuate the bus. The fire brigade's timely intervention contained the fire and helped in the successful rescue of over 40 passengers. 

The cause of the fire, whether due to a technical malfunction or other factors, is still under investigation. Despite the terrifying experience, the prompt action of the passengers and emergency services ensured everyone's safety.
