Assam: National Youth Congress President Srinivas BV shy away in car to avoid media questions

While the heat continue to rise on National Youth Congress President Srinivas BV for his alleged involvement in expelled Assam Youth Congress President Angkita Dutta harassment case, Srinivas escaped media persons who tried to question him regarding today’s interrogation with Guwahati Police.

Srinivas BV reached here in Guwahati on May 22 for questioning by Guwahati Police in connection with Angkita Dutta harassment case. 

Srinivas BV was flanked by party workers on his arrival at Guwahati Airport and was greeted with a huge reception. 
Ahead of his visit, the Guwahati Police had even imposed Section 144 of the Code of Criminal Procedure banning gatherings of more than five people within the city limits.

Additionally, the Sivasagar police have sent a legal notice to the Sivasagar Youth Congress asking them to refrain from holding any kind of agitation in Guwahati.

The legal notice Under Section 152 CrPc, 1973 states- "Whereas, information has been received that on dated 22-05-2023 you along with other members/supporters of IYC/Asom Pradesh Youth Congress are planning to proceed to Guwahati to protest by carrying agitation/demonstration/shouting of slogans in various parts of Guwahati which may cause breach of peace public order and may cause disturbance of peaceful movements.
