A tragic accident occurred at an ethanol plant under construction in Sipajhar on Saturday, resulting in the death of one laborer and leaving two others in critical condition.
The incident took place at around 8:30 am on September 14 when the three workers reportedly fell from a significant height while performing their duties. Sariful Islam, one of the workers, succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
Fellow workers have raised serious concerns about the lack of safety measures at the construction site. According to their statements, basic security protocols were not in place, putting lives at risk.

Furthermore, there are accusations against the company authorities of neglecting the welfare of their workforce, including the absence of proper medical treatment following the accident.
The incident has sparked a demand for adequate monetary compensation for the families of the deceased and injured workers. Amidst these calls for justice, questions about worker safety standards and exploitation within the industry have come to the forefront, highlighting the need for urgent reforms in workplace safety regulations.
