Assam: One held with live ammunition at Rangia railway station

Railway Police on July 5 apprehended a person with live ammunition at Rangia station, said a police official.  

The smuggler arrested along with the ammunition, has been identified as Kailash Sharma, a resident of Bihar.

According to sources, the live cartridges were smuggled from Nagaland and were on the way to be delivered to some other states of India.

''A total of almost several rounds of SLR bullets has been recovered from the accused. These bullets are being recovered from Avadh Assam Express in Rangia,'' a police officer said. 

The accused has been produced before the Rangia Judicial Magistrate's court.
