Assam: One missing after boats collide in Dibru River, SDRF launches rescue operation

A collision between two boats has left one person missing in Dibru river. The accident occurred when a boat carrying four passengers capsized near Dinjan Ghat while en-route to Dadhiyal in Dibrugarh, Assam.

A nearby boat rushed to the scene and successfully rescued all four passengers from the sinking vessel.

However, during the rescue operation, those aboard the boat fell into the water. One individual, later identified as Manoj Beriya, has been reported missing. 

The State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) has launched an ongoing search operation to locate the missing person.
