Assam: Physically capable citizens deceived with false promise of Rs 50,000 assistance in Chirang

Accusations have emerged against two physically capable individuals from Chirang, allegedly deceiving their fellow citizens under the guise of providing substantial financial assistance.

Allegations of misappropriation of funds, totaling 2000/- instead of the promised fifty thousand rupees for temporary assistance, have surfaced against Madhav Sarkar and Mimesius San Isawary. Both individuals, recognized for their involvement in local politics, stand accused by complainants within the jurisdiction of Bijni sub-division.

According to the allegations, Madhav Sarkar, hailing from Ulubari Bamonijhar, alongside voluntary organization worker Mimesius San Isawary, purportedly collected 2000/- from thirteen economically distressed yet physically capable individuals. The promise made last August of fifty thousand rupees in temporary aid allegedly turned out to be a facade.
