The Bharatiya Janata Party Bongaigaon unit in Assam is leaving no stone unturned to make their election campaign for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in 2024 a hit. Amid this, visuals have surfaced showing political writings on the walls of schools in Abhayapuri, Bongaigaon district.
Teachers of a primary school in Abhayapuri were aghast after seeing the political slogans by BJP members smeared across the school walls, thus condemning the act.
Speaking to reporters here, one of the teachers teaching at the primary school condemned the act and said, “My name is Niren Chandra Dev. I am a teacher at a primary school. We didn’t give any permission to write slogans on the school walls. Slogans like ‘Once Again Modi Government’ has been written in the walls. We have no idea about this nor any permission taken from us. Our school falls under Kalbari Panchayat. Generally, such political writings are not allowed on school walls. First permission need to be taken from the teachers. We came to know about it today after reaching the school. This act is highly condemnable”.
