Assam: Principal of Basugaon Higher Secondary School mistakenly uses 2022 stamp on admit card instead of 2023

Amid the HSLC paper leak controversy, the principal of the Basugaon Higher Secondary School, mistakenly put the 2022 stamp on the admit card instead of 2023 and signed on it.

The incidents came to light after parents noticed the mistake and approached the local students' union and visited the school to take stock of the situation.

It is worth mentioning that the incident comes amid the controversy which is going on in the state over the paper leak of several subjects of the High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) exam.

Recently, Assam Police detained a few students for questioning in connection to the circulation of a morphed picture of a Geography paper.

The police didn't disclose the identity of the youth, however, it said that arrest was made on the basis of Masoom Ali's statement.

The police earlier had arrested Ali for allegedly being the mastermind in circulating the morphed Geography question paper on March 18.

As per reports, Ali received the fake Geography paper in some WhatsApp group and then he created another group and circulated the fake question paper which within no time became viral hitting news headlines.

However, soon after the reports came into the public domain, the Assam Education Minister Dr Ranoj Pegu denied the same and called it a fake, and claimed that the question paper was from the previous year.

So far, Assam Police have arrested a total of 27 persons for allegedly being involved in the paper leak case and presently the investigation is going on in the case.
