Along with various parts of Assam, educational institutions in Kokrajhar celebrated Saraswati Puja on February 3, the worship of the Goddess of Knowledge with great enthusiasm.
Students and faculty members participated in the festivities seeking blessings for wisdom and academic success.
A notable celebration took place at Kokrajhar Girls' College where students from diverse religious backgrounds including Islam and Christianity came together to observe the occasion. Their joint participation highlighted the spirit of unity and cultural harmony.

Following tradition, the students set up two separate pandals for offering prayers. While some students performed rituals and worshipped Goddess Saraswati, others took part in a Jagya (fire ritual) adding a spiritual dimension to the celebrations.
The event served as a reflection of social and cultural inclusivity, demonstrating that faith and devotion transcend barriers of caste, creed, and religion.
The students, irrespective of their backgrounds, came together in their shared pursuit of knowledge and wisdom, making the Saraswati Puja celebrations a true symbol of harmony in Kokrajhar.
