A tiger cub was found trapped inside a bamboo grove in the Miri Pathar area of Gamiri, under the Soomajila region of Gohpur.
The cub was spotted squeezed between clumps of bamboo on the farm of a local resident named Moni Das.
Following the submersion of the Sixth Addition area of Kaziranga National Park due to flooding, wildlife from the sanctuary have started moving into nearby human-inhabited areas.
Regions like Gamiri, Mailbazar, Batiyamari, and Roumari have now become temporary roaming grounds for animals such as deer, wild boars, and tigers.

This Wednesday morning, local residents were startled when they saw the tiger cub in the open fields of Miri Pathar in Gamiri, creating a scene of panic and curiosity.
Later, the cub took shelter inside a dense bamboo grove and got stuck between thick bamboo shoots.
Upon witnessing the trapped cub, locals immediately informed the Forest Department and Helem Police. Both the forest and police personnel have since reached the site and are continuing efforts to safely rescue the tiger cub.
