Assam: Truck engulfs in flames at Demow Bamunbari on National Highway 37

A traffic disruption occurred on National Highway 37 near Demow Bamunbari today, as a truck was engulfed in flames. The incident, which saw the rapid spread of fire throughout the vehicle, prompted an immediate response from local authorities.

Preliminary reports indicate that the fire may have originated from a tire burst on the Andhra Pradesh-registered truck. The resulting flames quickly spread, leading to the complete combustion of the vehicle.

Emergency services, including the Demow Police and the Fire and Emergency Services, were dispatched to the scene to manage the situation and extinguish the fire. Efforts were focused on containing the blaze and preventing further escalation, as well as managing the resulting traffic congestion.
