Assam: Wild horses take over fields in Jonai after 60 hectares of land cleared of encroachment

A winsome sight was witnessed by locals of Jonai's Kobu Chapori after wild horses were seen freely moving around 60 hectares of land cleared of encroachment following eviction drive by the state authorities.

The area which was illegally encroached upon by illegal settlers, were recently cleared off, thus allowing wildlife reclaim their land and enjoy their free movement.

The area has now turned into a safe haven for wild horses, migratory birds and other wild animals, which have been recently sighted moving around without the fear of any human interference.
