Assam: Youth feared dead in boat capsize incident in Bongaigaon

A youth has been feared dead after a boat capsized in a lake in Assam's Bongaigaon district. 

Right ahead of new year celebrations, a boat capsized at the Borphukhuri lake at Abhayapuri which had seven persons enjoying a boat ride today. One youth identified as Debojit Ray has been missing. The other six persons on the boat had a narrow escape even as they were quickly rescued from the deep waters. 

Meanwhile, local boatsmen are searching the lake area for the missing person, but so far there has been no success. A team from the North Salmara police outpost is also present. A team from SDRF is also engaged in searching for the missing youth.
