The 44th Foundation Day of Margherita Revenue Circle was celebrated with great enthusiasm and unity today.
Established on March 17, 1981, the revenue circle was carved out from the Tinsukia Revenue Circle to bring governance closer to the people.
The event commenced with the lighting of an earthen lamp and floral tributes at Mahatma Gandhi’s statue. Margherita Circle Officer Gyan Jyoti Dutta inaugurated the celebration, while Mridul Das and Lambodar Hazarika moderated the proceedings.
The event, hosted by Nitul Gogoi, witnessed the participation of numerous employees and village chiefs from the Margherita Co-District.

Dignitaries present at the occasion included Margherita Co-District Police Officer Dinesh Pratap Singh Rathore, Circle Officer Gyan Jyoti Dutta, and Assistant Commissioners Pranamika Konwar, Alokesh Bordoloi, and Pritam Gogoi, among others.
The celebration highlighted the significance of the revenue circle in streamlining governance and strengthening local administration.
