Global FC lift 25th Bodoland Martyrs Gold Cup, defeat Salbagan FC in final

Global FC clinched the championship title of the 25th Bodoland Martyrs Gold Cup Football Tournament after defeating Salbagan FC of Gossaigaon in a thrilling final held at the Kokrajhar District Sports Association ground.

The closely contested final ended in a 1–1 draw in regulation time, forcing the match into a tie-breaker. Global FC held their nerve in the shootout, winning 5–3 to secure the prestigious title.

The final match was inaugurated by Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) Chief Hagrama Mohilary. Addressing the gathering, Mohilary highlighted the developmental strides made by the BTC and assured that the Kokrajhar Sports Association Stadium would be newly developed and beautified in the near future.

At the prize distribution ceremony, Global FC were awarded the championship trophy along with a cash prize of ₹1 lakh, while runners-up Salbagan FC received the trophy and ₹50,000.

The ceremony was attended by BTC Executive Members Lwmshrao Daimary, Derhasat Basumatary, Prakash Basumatary, MCLA Dhaneshwar Gayary, and Jubiraj Brahma, along with sports officials and football enthusiasts.
