India to witness largest ever Jhumur performance in February 2025 in Guwahati

The nation is set to witness a historic cultural spectacle on February 24, 2025, as over 8,000 dancers from the tea tribe community perform the traditional Jhumur dance at Sarusajai Stadium. 

This grand event will take place in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, marking the inaugural highlight of the Advantage Assam Investment Summit.

The Advantage Assam Summit, scheduled for February 25 and 26, will bring together investors from across India and abroad, focusing on showcasing Assam’s investment opportunities and infrastructural advancements.

Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma expressed his optimism for the summit, stating, "I aim to showcase the transformed image of Assam to the world."

The Jhumur performance, reflecting the vibrant cultural heritage of Assam’s tea tribes, is poised to set a record as the largest ever of its kind. The event underscores Assam’s commitment to blending cultural preservation with economic progress, making it an unforgettable prelude to the summit.
