Assam chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma took a fresh dig at the opposition's INDIA alliance by calling it a “Ghamandiya” (arrogant) alliance and saying that they “want to destroy Sanatana Dharma”.
This comes amid the opposition announced to boycott of TV shows of 14 anchors nationally.
Addressing the media, Himanta Biswa said, "Today INDI alliance has boycotted a few journalists...the same people who were lecturing us on the freedom of speech they themself by boycotting people or news anchors, they have proved they are intolerant. If these people come to government the first thing they will do is to impose the press censorship...so this is just a replica they did in 1975 and they will do it again if they get the opportunity."

Further Sarma alleged that the opposition attacked the Sanatana Dharma and now they are attacking the press.
"One by one institutions related to Bharat they are demolishing", Sarma added.
