Do you enjoy eating mangoes? Then be cautious while purchasing them. To artificially ripen raw mangoes, harmful substances are being used—especially during times when mangoes are not naturally ripening on trees.
At such times, the market is flooded with only mangoes and more mangoes.
In the markets of Sribhumi town, a large quantity of mangoes from outside the region has arrived. Mangoes are indeed a delicious fruit, and as a result, consumers are actively buying them. But the real question is—are these mangoes safe for our health?

Here’s a troubling sight to consider: small packets labelled “slow poison ethanol” are being used to ripen mangoes and are found placed right next to the fruit.
According to reports, ethanol is being used to artificially ripen raw mangoes. However, ethanol is harmful to human health. One customer even tore open a packet to confirm its contents.
In a bid to earn higher profits, some unscrupulous traders are ripening raw mangoes using ethanol. As a result, fruits like mangoes and bananas kept at home spoil within a day or two after purchase.
