Pramod Boro declares: Hagrama Mohilary won’t return as BTC chief for next 20 years

In a fiery press conference held in Kokrajhar, United People's Party Liberal (UPPL) President and BTC Chief Executive Member (CEM) Pramod Boro launched a direct and sharp attack against Bodoland People's Front (BPF) leader and former BTC Chief, Hagrama Mohilary.

Boro asserted, “Hagrama Mohilary can never become the BTC Chief again—not now, not in the next 20 years.” He went on to say, “We are in the process of cleansing the sins committed by Hagrama during his tenure.”

Highlighting the improvements under his leadership, Boro said, “During our time, people who got government jobs could sleep peacefully for 8 hours. Earlier, that was not possible.”

Referring to allegations of corruption and misconduct, he accused, “Hagrama fled after snatching the rights and opportunities from 3,500 people.”

Further intensifying his attack, Pramod Boro commented on Hagrama’s public absence: “Hagrama has enough time for drinking and gossiping, but he hasn’t found time in four years to attend even a single BTC Assembly session.”

The remarks indicate rising political tension in the Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) ahead of the next elections, with Boro clearly positioning himself as a strong opponent of Mohilary’s legacy and leadership.
