Pramod Boro lays foundation stones for seven development projects in Chirang

Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) Chief Executive Member Pramod Boro on Saturday laid the foundation stones for a total of seven development projects under the Bijni’s Manas-Serfang and Nichima constituency areas in Chirang district.

Among the projects are the construction of an Indigenous Minority Community Hall at Palengbari at an estimated cost of ₹50 lakh, the CC block road from Panbari-Patiladha Road to Ballimari Primary School under the Goodwill Scheme at Ballimari, and a concrete bridge over the Andharmuwa River at Andhargao. 

In 2 No. Baulajhar, a concrete road from 2 No. Baulajhar Tiniali to 1 No. Garabdwara will be built, while in Bishnupur, a statue of Bir Chilarai will be installed at the Bishnupur Regional ACRASU office premises at a cost of ₹20 lakh.

The foundation-laying ceremonies were attended by BTR Executive Members Dhananjay Basumatary and Ranjit Basumatary, Sidli MLA Nirmal Kumar Brahma, council member Madhav Chetry, Bijni district UPPL president Phanin Boro, general secretary Homeprasad Sharma, and several other local leaders.
