Storm ravages Assam’s Chapar under Dhubri district, poultry farms damaged completely

A devastating storm accompanied with heavy rain ravaged parts of Chapar area under Dhubri district on April 28, uprooting trees, damaging power lines and poultry farms in the region.

The storm caused extensive damages to houses, broiler farms with long hours of power outage in the entire region.
A broiler farm belonging to one Navin Chandra Roy and Shankardev Roy, both residents of Patapara in Bahalpur, was completely destroyed in the storm.

The broiler farm had 1700 broiler chickens with many have been reported dead.
The two unemployed youths have suffered huge losses due to the storm and have requested for compensation from the government for the damages caused due to nature’s fury.
