Watch: ULFA(I) cadres celebrate Rongali Bihu in an undisclosed location in Myanmar

Tunes of Bihu songs, complete with dhol, pepa and gogona resonated the skies as a video of United Liberation Front of Asom-Independent cadres celebrating Bohag Bihu has surfaced.

The cadres of the rebel group were seen singing 'Husori' and celebrating Bihu in an undisclosed location in Myanmar. Dressed in camouflage trousers, silk kurtas and traditional Assamese gamocha, the cadres who are usually seen wearing battle fatigues, joined in the Bihu celebration, dancing to Bihu songs.

The 'Husori' sung by the militant group reflected lines appealing mothers to not feel sad and bless them for their fight for 'independence' from external forces.

The 5 minute video show masked cadres dancing in a circle, amid cheers and Bihu songs complete with traditional folk music playing in the background.

It is not for the first time that such video has surfaced of ULFA-I cadres celebrating the beloved festival of Assam. Earlier too, the rebel group shared video of Magh Bihu celebrations, rejoicing in the festive colour of the celebrations.
