Why was Sarbananda Sonowal missing from Amit Shah's rally, Congress leader questions Assam CM

Congress Lok Sabha candidate from Guwahati LS seat, Mira Borthakur Goswami on April 16  questioned the absence of Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal at a rally in Tinsukia held by Amit Shah.

She noted that while BJP's Lakhimpur LS candidate, Pradhan Baruah, was present at the rally, Sonowal was not.

Addressing a press meet, Congress Lok Sabha candidate from Guwahati LS seat Mira Borthakur Goswami said, "When Amit Shah came to Tinsukia for a rally what was the reason for Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal's absence? Pradan Baruah, the BJP's Lakhimpur candidate was even present but Sarbananda Sonowal was not present. Pradan Baruah was present because of the Congrees 'B' team connection. If one looks at the affidavit of Sarbananda Sonowal the total assets declared are more than that of Pradan Baruah. If Sarabananda Sonowal being a former chief minister cannot show his election expenses then this only proves the rift between Sonwal and Assam CM."

Goswami further criticized BJP ally and AGP chief, Atul Bora, who despite protesting against CAA and resigning from the ministry, reconciled differences with Himanta Biswa Sarma and continued to support the BJP government.

Further slamming BJP ally AGP chief, Atul Bora, Mira Borthakur Goswami said, "Atul Bora who himself as per Assam Accord contested the election and came out victorious, cried out for against CAA and also resigned from ministry but again settled their indifferences along with Himanta Biswa Sarma and gave support to the BJP government," she added.
