Will set fire against infiltrators and make Jharkhand a golden land: Himanta Biswa Sarma

Assam Chief Minister and BJP co-in-charge for Jharkhand Assembly elections, Himanta Biswa Sarma, drew attention to what he described as a pressing issue of infiltration. Sarma likened his stance to that of Lord Hanuman's mythological act of setting fire to Lanka, stating, "I will set fire against infiltrators, just as Lord Hanuman set Lanka ablaze, we must set fire against infiltrators to make Jharkhand a golden land."

CM Sarma expressed concerns about demographic shifts in the Santhal Pargana region, pointing out a decline in the tribal population while the Muslim population has reportedly seen a significant rise. He clarified that while not every Muslim is an infiltrator, the increase in the Muslim population every five years raised questions. "Is a family giving birth to 10-12 children? If not, then people are definitely coming from outside. This is simple mathematics," he remarked.

Emphasizing that the BJP’s goal extends beyond winning the elections, Sarma stated that the primary focus is on eliminating infiltrators from Santhal Pargana and ensuring justice for women. He highlighted the party's commitment to addressing these demographic and social issues as a priority for the region's future.
