Guwahati, November 13, 2018:

The Health Minister of Meghalaya A L Hek on Monday launched the ‘108 CitizenApp’ in Shillong.

The app has been developed by the GVK EMRI Meghalaya to make emergency services better and easily accessible in the state.

The aim of launching this app is to provide emergency medical service to the people in need and also to reduce the response time in a simple and effective way.

The 108 GVK EMRI App also provides immediate support in case of police and fire emergencies 24×7.

It app is equipped to access user’s real time GPS location. Once the user makes a call through the 108 Meghalaya App, the location will be shared by the ERO with the ambulance team nearest to that location and users will be provided with online confirmation of case ID and vehicle information.

The app is accessible in 2G/3G/4G in all types of network with a working internet connection.
