Bharatiya Gorkha Yuva Parisangha and its parent organisation Bharatiya Gorkha Parisangha (BGP) has made an appeal to the Hills Tea Garden Owners to immediately release 20% bonus of at least 2 lakh regular Tea Garden Workers from the hills as soon as possible.
The organization further expressed its solidarity to the agitating organisations and prayers are with deceived workers. We stand by tea fraternity of our community and all workers.

The BGP further appealed that since Darjeeling's Tourism, Timber and Tea is its strength and workers should be regarded as the backbone of hills economy and should be taken proper care of, so that spondylitis or osteoporosis doesn't kill them.

"Gardens should take care of their basic needs food nutrition, health sanitation with education and ensure basic minimum wages. Gardens should take care of Generations", the BGP said, in a statement.
BhaGoYuP called upon all Phoolpaty Rally organisers across the Gorkha dominated areas and the nation, to raise the issue of 'Releasing Garden workers Bonus'.
It may be mentioned here that all seven trade unions in the hills called for a 12-hour “closure” on Friday to put pressure on the Darjeeling Tea industry to reach a bonus agreement.
