BTC CELEBRATES BWISAGU BARDWI SIKHLA FESTIVAL

The Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC), situated in Bodofa Nagar, Kokrajhar district is going to celebrate Bwisagu Bardwi Sikhla Festival.

BTC conducts a two day long  program which commenced on 5th of May. The first day of this program, is inaugurated by Executive Member (E.M.) Daneswar Goyarye of Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC).

In this program, MP from Rajya Sabha, Biswajit Daimary, Executive member of the Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) Rajib Kumar Bramho, Lwmshrao Daimary Kokrajhar, SP Rajen Singh was present.

Here, 40 contestants from Debargaon, Fakiragram, Baukhungar, Banargaon, Salakati and Dotoma BPF Block Committee under Kokrajhar District BPF Block participated in the competitions of Bihu, Bwisagu and Bisuva organized by BT

Today, BTC executive member Daneshvar Goyary stated that the BTC Council is celebrating Bwisagu festival with all the people of Assam as a part the ethnic celebration of Assam. He also stated that it is a part of the culture of Assam. It is spoken as basag varardai shikhla by the Bodo people.
